It felt really cool to be walking down the middle of Dixwell Avenue, which is normally full of shopping traffic. The traffic light at Skiff Street turned red but we didn't have to stop for it. Soon the entire parade came to a halt for a few minutes so we took the opportunity to give the dogs a drink.
